Terms of Service

Welcome to Moonpath. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Moonpath mobile app and any related services (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use the Service

Moonpath is intended for children ages 5-8. Parents or legal guardians are responsible for setting up the app on a device used by a child and for any in-app purchases made on that device. By installing the app on a device used by a child, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian.

2. Account-free experience

Moonpath does not require an account. We do not collect names, emails, or other personal information. Story progress is saved on the device. If the app is deleted, that progress is removed with it.

3. Intellectual property

All stories, illustrations, audio, characters (including Moony), and software in the Service are owned by Moonpath or our licensors. You may use them through the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not copy, redistribute, modify, or sell any of the content.

4. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Some features may be offered through a paid subscription or one-time purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing, and refunds are subject to those platforms' policies. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled in your device's account settings before the end of the current period. Purchases made through the app are gated behind a parental-verification step.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to access parts of the Service you are not authorized to access (e.g., admin endpoints).

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or freedom from errors. We strive to keep the app working reliably but cannot guarantee that it will always be available.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Moonpath shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if continued operation becomes infeasible.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Placeholder], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
